Behind the Lens …
Born and raised on Cape Breton Island, I very quickly developed an appreciation of the beauty this planet has to offer. I picked up my first camera, and never put it down. Being an outdoor enthusiast, I have spent a lot of my time outdoors, capturing the wondrous landscapes of Cape Breton Island.
In 2018, I made a career change for the better and relocated to British Columbia to pursue travel nursing. My career as a travel nurse affords me the opportunity to travel to remote and rural locations where I wander into the woods and photograph wild, untouched and raw nature. I strive to practise and uphold ethical wildlife photography practices and encourage others to do so as well.
I have since relocated back to Ingonish, Cape Breton to lay down some roots where my spark for photography first began. With all of the learned experiences I have gained “out west”, I feel more ready than ever to expand my photography scope to more than just wildlife, but to capture families and special events.
My other artistic outlet is music. I am a singer songwriter and have recorded an EP album. I currently record and produce my own music from the comfort of home.
